The placement of the incisions will be decided before surgery. Each type of incision is inconspicuous, leaving minimal scarring. After making the incisions, Dr. Berardi inserts the implant either above or below the pectoral muscle and finishes by closing the incisions.

Fat is then taken from fatty parts of your body, meticulously washed and purified, and then carefully reinjected with specially designed needles into the breast region.

Various types of breast augmentation techniques are performed as an outpatient procedure, and you will be able to return home after treatment, though an overnight stay can be arranged if you wish. You should expect to experience soreness and swelling in the days after the procedure. More strenuous activities such as lifting or exercising should be avoided until Dr. Berardi releases you. You may perform light exercise, not involving the chest muscles after two weeks. Heavier exercise and full activity may typically resume after 6 weeks. Although results from surgery are evident immediately, residual swelling may last for several weeks.
